EGR 211 - Strength of Materials EGR 211 - Strength of Materials 3 Course Description: This course is designed to introduce the student to stress and deformation analysis of basic structural materials subjected to axial, torsional, bending and pressure loads. The primary focus of the course is on the concepts of stress and strain at a point, stress-temperature relationships, force and deformation analysis of bodies under axial, shearing, flexural, torsional and combined loadings, shear and bending moment diagrams, and Euler Columns.
