ENV 131 - Environmental Science with Lab ENV 131 - Environmental Science with Lab 4 Course Description: An interdisciplinary course in ecological environmental education designed to develop an understanding and awareness of our environment, how the environment can change and the effects of such change. The course explores the role which humans play in causing environmental change and the underlying values and ethical judgments involved in making choices. The course also includes a study of the structure and function of ecosystems, energy, and the examination of selected environmental problems. The lab sections will investigate alternative energy, environmental monitoring, and the influences of human populations on ecosystems. 3 hours lecture/2 hours laboratory. ISLOs: This course supports student development of Social Responsibility, Critical Thinking, and Quantitative Literacy.
