EUT 171 - Generation, Transmission and Distribution EUT 171 - Generation, Transmission and Distribution 4 Course Description: This course presents an overview of the electrical generation process, power plant systems and functions. Students will learn how utility power distribution systems are designed and operated, including planning, load characteristics and the application of distribution transformers, substations, primary and secondary systems, and voltage regulation and reductions. Students will analyze the impedance, reflection and standing wave characteristics of transmission lines.

Prerequisites: TMA095, CAP101, EUT101, EUT111
