ITC 282 - Cybersecurity II ITC 282 - Cybersecurity II 3 Formerly NST 282 Course Description: This course focus on tools for cyberdefense. The course covers topics including security techniques through authentication, authorization and accounting, use of pubic and private key cryptography, hashing, key sharing. Students gain experience with firewall configuration, IDS/IPS systems, LAN security techniques, and virtual private networks. The connection between security policy and cybersecurity is also discussed. Communication skills, problem-solving, and the development of a life-long learning mindset are integrated throughout the course. (2
