LAN 175 - Russian 1 and Culture LAN 175 - Russian 1 and Culture 3 Course Description: Russian 1 and Culture is an introductory course for beginners. Students will learn Russian language by developing all four communication skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. They will also learn the alphabet in the Cyrillic script and how to read and write simple sentences in Russian. They will respond to greetings and simple commands and gain an understanding and respect for a different culture.
