LAN 181 - Arabic 1 and Culture LAN 181 - Arabic 1 and Culture 3 Course Description: Arabic 1 and Culture is an introductory course for beginners. Students will learn modern formal Arabic language by developing all four communication skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. They will also learn the alphabet and how to read and write in Arabic simple sentences. They will respond to greetings and simple commands and gain an understanding and respect for a different culture.
