MLT 105 - Introduction to Clinical Laboratory Science MLT 105 - Introduction to Clinical Laboratory Science 3 Formerly CLS 101 Course Description: This course provides an introduction to clinical laboratory science, including history of the profession, an introduction to the laboratory departments, laboratory safety, and concepts and procedures used in a professional medical laboratory. Preanalytic, analytic, and postanalytic variables will be discussed. The student will also be introduced to the accreditation process, certification, licensure, professionalism and ethics in healthcare today.
