NUR 111 - Nursing Care of the Family Practicum NUR 111 - Nursing Care of the Family Practicum 1 Course Description: Clinical application of the Nursing Care of the Family course includes laboratory, simulation, and direct care components. Opportunities to learn practice and refine selected progressive skills appropriate to the role and responsibilities of the practical nurse are provided in lab, simulation and clinical experiences with a focus on the knowledge skills and behaviors necessary to provide competent care to the new mother, baby and pediatric client in stable care settings, development stage and in accordance with the role and responsibility of the practical nurse. This course needs to be taken concurrently with NUR 110 Nursing Care of the Family. Students must achieve a grade of C or better in each course. Course Student Learning
