NUR 162 - PN Advanced Pharmacology and Medication Calculations NUR 162 - PN Advanced Pharmacology and Medication Calculations 1 Course Description: In this course the students will explore the physical, biological, psychosocial, cultural, intellectual, spiritual, and environmental factors across the life span that influence drug therapy and safe medication administration. More complex calculations and drug therapies with be introduced that complement content in Nursing Care of the Adult and Older Adult as well as Nursing care of the Family. A subset of medication therapy for patients with mental health problems is included in the course. Concurrent enrollment in or completion of PSY 124. This course needs to be taken concurrently with NUR 203 Preparing for Professional Practice, NUR 204 Preparing for Professional Practice Preceptorship, NUR 207 Nursing Care of the Adult and Older Adult, and NUR 208 Nursing Care of the Adult and Older Adult Practicum. Students must achieve a grade of C or better in each course. Course Student Learning
