PHO 103 - Introduction to Public Health Informatics and Information Systems PHO 103 - Introduction to Public Health Informatics and Information Systems 3 Course Description: This course is an introduction to public health informatics and information systems. Topics include the evolution of public health information systems, public health data sources, core concepts and terminology in health informatics, and ethics. The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology standards for public health information technology will be introduced. Students will identify data sources and learn basic data visualization skills to describe a public health problem.
