PSY 153 - Community Psychology PSY 153 - Community Psychology 3 Course Description: An examination of the principles and concepts of community psychology. Topics will include the prevalence of particular social problems and change strategies, community health, the importance of prevention and resilience, empowerment of client populations and communities, model social agencies in the community, and program evaluation. The course will emphasize experiential learning and draw upon resources and competencies of students and the community itself.
