THE 109 - Balance Through Acting THE 109 - Balance Through Acting 3 Course Description: Balance through Acting is a holistic approach to actor training which integrates the mind, body and spirit, emphasizing the idea that achieving a balance in these areas is crucial to not only the actor’s performance but a general sense of well-being. Integration of Eastern practices such as yoga, meditation, energy awareness with basic acting techniques such as character development, movement, vocal work, centering, and script analysis will provide the student with a strong sense of themselves as well as others around them onstage and off. ISLOs: This course supports student development of Written and Oral Communications, Critical Thinking, Multicultural and Global Perspectives, and Personal and Professional Development.
