(R only) Cultivating the communicative approach by learning ASL functions in interactive contexts. Methods of confirming and correcting information, asking for clarification, agreeing, declining or hedging and appropriate ways of getting and directing attention in various situations will be examined to frame effective communication in ASL. Recommended to be taken concurrently with ASLP 206 . Three hours each week. 3 semester hours Course
