BLDG230 — Building Codes and Standards

(R only) An examination of building codes and standards applied to residential buildings. The International Residential Code (IRC) will be emphasized, and local area amendments will be addressed. Topics include planning and permitting, foundations, floors, walls, roofs, energy efficiency, chimneys, and fireplaces. Three hours each week. 3 semester hours Course
