DANC100 — Introduction to Dance
(ARTD, GEIR, GEEL, GCP) (R and TP/SS only) An examination of dance as an art form and means of multicultural expression, ritual, and tradition. This course familiarizes the student with practices, philosophies, terminologies, styles of dance and careers in dance. The role of dance in world societies and how it relates to different cultures is explored through lectures, assigned readings, films, recordings, and experiential dance activities.
