EDUC260 — Methods of Teaching for Elementary Education
Provides an overview of teaching methodology for effective instruction in elementary classrooms. Opportunities will be provided for planning and practicing instruction based on a knowledge of the theory and research supporting the strategies and models used. Emphasis will be on developing the habit of reflective practice and fostering collaborative problem solving. This course meets the Maryland State Department of Education Teaching Methodology requirement for an initial certificate in Elementary Education. This course does not fulfill any requirements for the A.A.T. Assessment Level(s): ENGL 101 / ENGL 011 . Three hours each week. 3 semester hours Course
