EMGT105 — Hazard Mitigation and Preparedness
Introduces the major principles involved in preparing for and mitigating the impacts of hazards in the context of emergency management. Examines the role of the federal, state, and local governments in developing and carrying out hazard mitigation and preparedness policies, as well as the role that the private sector can play in protecting economic vitality. Characteristics of various hazards, both natural and man-made, that can affect our communities are investigated. Three hours each week. 3 semester hours Course
