GDES230 — Photoshop: Advanced Image Editing
(R only) (Also as PHOT 230 . Credit cannot be received for both GDES 230 and PHOT 230 .) An advanced study of Adobe Photoshop as it applies to both graphics and photography. Topics include advanced sharpening techniques, advanced image restoration, contrast control, masking techniques, the utilization of RGB, CMYK, and Lab color models for image correction, and the study of emerging technologies. Students will also learn to calibrate all equipment used in Photoshop imaging, including building individual profiles for output. Two hours lecture, four hours laboratory each week. 4 semester hours Course
