HIST242 — Open Topics in History, Including Foreign Travel
This course outlines briefly the geographic, economic, political, and cultural background of the region in which travel will take place. It focuses on the particular country of the journey’s destination and examines the scope of its history, culture, and special achievements from early times to the present. Special lectures by local professors on selected topics at universities, the country’s parliament, or other institutions of interest are scheduled in addition to visits to museums and the country’s most outstanding sites. 3 semester hours Course
