HIST257 — Modern Military History 1494-1815
Surveys European military history within a broad framework through which the student may view many aspects of historical events and human behavior. The course includes an examination of theoretical concepts and debates over the analysis of warfare in history. Topics include: the dynastic wars of the 15th to the 18th centuries, the Thirty Years War, colonialism, the American and French Revolutions, and the Napoleonic Wars.
