MATH150 — Elementary Applied Calculus I
(MATF, GEEL) Credit for Prior Learning Differential and integral calculus with applications in business, economics, social and the life sciences. Topics include functions and their graphs, constructing mathematical models, the derivative and its applications, the integral and its applications, exponential and logarithmic functions, and functions of several variables. This course is recommended for business majors and does not fulfill the calculus requirement for most science or engineering degrees. This course is not open for credit to students who have a grade of C or better in MATH 181 or equivalent. PRE- or Assessment Level(s): ENGL 101 / ENGL 011 or ELAI 990 .
