PHED237 — Fitness Assessment and Programming
(R only) An examination of scientifically-based assessment techniques used to evaluate cardio-respiratory endurance and body composition. Principles of exercise, interpretation of assessment results, and program design are applied to develop safe, individualized exercise programs for apparently healthy individuals and special populations using American College of Sports Medicine guidelines. Safety considerations, identification of risk factors, and contradictions are emphasized. Three hours each week. 3 semester hours Course
