PHTH203 — Neurophysiology and Neuromuscular Rehabilitation
(TP/SS only) Provides students with essential knowledge and clinical skills in neurorehabilitation. It includes lectures and hands-on lab practices to demonstrate common techniques. Students will gain foundational knowledge in physiology, anatomy, motor control, and learning, as well as disease and conditions of the neuromuscular and nervous systems. This course will integrate the application of tests and measures with clinical interventions of the neuromuscular and nervous systems using evidence-based practices. Students will gain important insights into rehabilitating individuals with neuromuscular disorders, including spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, strokes, and various progressive and non-progressive conditions across all ages.
