PHYS263 — General Physics III: Waves, Optics, and Modern Physics

(NSLD, GEEL) Topics include mechanical and electromagnetic waves, geometrical and wave optics, selected topics in special relativity, quantum mechanics, atomic, nuclear physics, and solid state physics, and related fields. A calculus-based general physics course, required for students majoring in engineering or one of the physical sciences. Three hours lecture, three hours laboratory, one hour discussion each week. 4 semester hours Course
