BNA 150 — BNA-150. Basic Nurse Assistant. (6 Credits)

Upon successful completion of this 144-hour Basic Nurse Assistant (BNA) course, approved by the Illinois Department of Public Health, students who receive a final grade of C (78%) or higher may apply for the State certification exam and subsequent employment as a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in long-term care facilities, home health agencies, and hospitals. This course includes a lecture and lab component, with clinical rotations conducted at long-term care facilities or hospitals. Participation requires MVCC student ID, uniform, stethoscope, required course books, wristwatch with second hand, health insurance, American Heart Association (AHA) BLS CPR for Health Care Providers, and physical examination with required laboratory blood titers and other required tests 14-30 days prior to the start of the clinical sessions.
