CIS 199 — CIS-199. Special Short Topics in Technology. (1 Credit)

This course provides an introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI) with a focus on Generative AI tools and their applications in business. Students will explore the fundamentals of Generative AI, gain hands-on experience with a variety of free tools, and learn how to apply prompt engineering techniques to improve AI-generated content. Students will discover how Generative AI can streamline workflows, support creativity, enhance decision-making, and drive innovation for both individuals and organizations. Students will also learn how to create resumes, images, videos, presentations, documents, and conduct research effectively using AI tools. Ethical considerations in the use of AI will also be addressed. No prior experience with AI is required.
