MRT 114 — MRT-114. Health Care Computer Applications. (3 Credits)

This course introduces students to computer systems in health care with emphasis placed on the electronic health record and software used in the completion of HIM processes as well as database architecture and design. In addition, students gain knowledge of health record data quality, methods to control computer security, as well as current trends and future challenges in health information exchange. Fee is required. (4 contact hours)
