Examines combustion created by the interaction of fuels and oxidants. Explores how common gas appliances and space heating equipment operate, as well as the safety requirements and codes that govern their use. Students become familiar with steel and plastic pipe destructive testing to reinforce concepts associated with the methods used to qualify field employees who perform pipe joining activities. (Prerequisite: 469-331 Gas Utility Field Training 3)
