CJS 205 — CJS-205. Disaster Response and Recover y. 3 Credits
LECT 45 hrs This course introduces the student to the principles of disaster response and recovery. Topics include knowing what to expect when a disaster strikes, management approaches, initial response measures, managing public information, caring for the injured, dead, and distraught, and overcoming typical challenges. Case studies of disasters and disaster responses will be utilized to reinforce course concepts. This course is applicable to any type of public or private emergency services operation. Prerequisites: CJS-105 .
