FRE 211 — FRE-211. Intermediate French I. 3 Credits
LECT 45 hrs This course is intended for students whose study of the first year of French is recent and who wish to acquire new skills in the language. It includes the introduction of new grammatical concepts such as affirmative and negative prounouns, the imperfect tense, direct and indirect object pronouns, agreement with past participles, adverbs, the pronouns y and en and additional verbs with irregular forms. Higher emphasis is given to conversation. Some compositions are required. Prerequisites: FRE-112 or permission of department chair.
