HIS 204 — HIS-204. History of the African-American Experience. 3 Credits
LECT 45 hrs A survey of African-Americans from their African origins to the present. Emphasis is on the historical importance of the slavery experience, the black experience in the Civil War and Reconstruction era, and the development of segregation. Special attention is given to 20th century black contributions to American life and thought, black leadership issues and movements relevant to the black experience.
