MUS 165 — MUS-165. Introduction to Music Recording. 3 Credits
LECT 45 hrs An introduction to the commercial recording studio. Students explore the equipment and techniques used in the recording of various types of contemporary music. Topics include studio acoustics and design, sound and hearing, microphones and microphone technique, recording console and signal flow, analog and digital recording systems, and signal processing. Students receive handson experience on both analog and digital recording equipment during in-class demonstrations and workshops. Additional Fees: Course fee applies.
