LECT 45 hrs An examination of the variety of governmental systems, both western and non-western, whose importance is reflected in the increasing interdependent nature of the world community. The political systems of the traditional European powers (Great Britain, Germany and Russia) and strategically important non-western nation-states (Japan, China, India and Mexico) are reviewed. Trends in government in the developing countries are studied as well.
