LECT 45 hrs An analysis and examination of individual rights within a democratic society. Focus is on such major issues as freedom of expression and religion, political and racial equality, privacy rights, and the Bill of Rights and its applicability to the states. The role of the judiciary, particularly the U.S. Supreme Court, is analyzed.
