LECT 45 hrs A study of group behavior and the influence of groups on the perception, thinking and behavior of the individual. Topics are chosen from the following: social influences on the development of personality and attitudes, the causes of human aggression, the nature of prejudice, why people conform, why people like each other, and the dynamics of groups. Topics are examined in a cross-cultural and historical perspective. Prerequisites: PSY-113 or SOC-120 .
