IV Certification
The IV Certification course is a 21-hour program, completed over 2 weeks that sets the foundation for IV placement. In this program you will learn theory and practice of IV placement including the equipment, risk factors, placement areas, and IV complications. Students will place IVs on classmates and volunteers. All students are required to participate as a patient and a phlebotomist with their classmates. The final exam will consist of a written test, and a skills test.
