ADC 222 — Screening Assessment Engagement

Students are introduced to assessment methods and relevant instruments for screening substance use disorders, serious mental illness, and co-occuring disorders. Students will learn key interviewing skills for collecting information while engaging the client with the treatment process. Students will be able to identify ethical and legal constraints for obtaining client information.

Prerequisites: ADC 101, ADC 111, ADC 121, ADC 125
