EME 109 — Emergency Medical Technician
A lecture/lab course designed to teach basic emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergency patients who access the emergency medical system. Students will learn how to function as part of a comprehensive EMS response, under medical oversight and perform interventions with the basic equipment typically found on an ambulance. Students will learn how to perform as a link from the scene to the emergency health care systems. Following completion, students will be eligible to take the National Registry of EMT’s or the State of West Virginia EMT exam.
