PAR 211 — Principles of Trauma Management
A lecture/lab course designed to develop skills and knowlege essential to assessing the trauma patient in the pre-hospital setting. The course focuses on both physical exam and initial treatment and management of the trauma patient, including spinal immobilization, splinting, hemorrhage control, high pressure injection, blast injuries, monitoring and management of chest tubes, use of a Morgan lens, and National Trauma Triage Protocol and trauma scoring.
