TRAN 204 — Thermite Rail Welding
Students will learn how to successfully perform thermite welding including torch safety and set up, thermite procedures, and aluminothermic reactions. Field exercises include performing weld tasks, insulated joints, relay rail, road crossing renewal, turnouts and repair of miscellaneous defects.
