TRAN 236 — Transit Bus Electrical Systems

This course provides bus maintenance training for the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of transit bus electrical/electronics systems and preparation for the National Automotice Service Excellence (ASE) H6 Electrical/Electronic Test. Topics include the components and operation of electrical systems, starting systems, charging systems and bus batteries; how to perform basic troubleshooting techniques of each system; and the necessary actions required to restore each system to its OEM specifications. Reading wiring diagrams for the troubleshooting, inspection and maintenance of lighting and electreical circuits is also explored.
