BOT 1114 — GENERAL BOTANY

Prerequisite: NONE This course is a basic introduction to the life processes and structure of the higher plants. Emphasis is on basic plant physiology, morphology and anatomy. Students will study plant cell structure and function (including photosynthesis and respiration), flower structure and function, the seed and fruit, stem, root and leaf structure, and plant identification. Three lecture and two laboratory hours per week. Credit: Four semester hours
