MTH 2143 — CALCULUS FOR BUSINESS, LIFE AND SOCIAL SCIENCES

Prerequisite: MTH 1513 or MTH1483 This is a s ophomore level brief Calculus course for the non-science major. The purpose of this course is to provide mathematical knowledge and ability to develop and analyze mathematical models using the calculus. Topics covered in this course include a brief review of Algebra and functions, differentiation and applications of the derivative, exponential and logarithmic functions and models, and integration and applications of the integral, and multivariable functions. Credit: Three semester hours
