NUR 1118 — FUNDAMENTALS FOR NURSING

Prerequisite: Acceptance into the Nursing Program. This course is designed to introduce the beginning nursing student to the profession of nursing, legal, moral and ethical constructs, effective communication, pharmacology, and the nursing process for improvement of patient care and safety. The student will learn safe essential nursing skills to be performed while caring for individual patients. Credit: Eight semester hours.
