NURS 1202 — Nursing Care of the Childbearing Family
This course provides an integrative, family -centered approach to the care of child-bearing women and newborns. Emphasis is placed on normal and high-risk pregnancies, normal and abnormal growth and development, family dynamics and the promotion of healthy behaviors in patients. Laboratory/clinical experiences provide the student an opportunity to apply theoretical concepts and implement safe patient care to mothers and newborns in selected settings.
