PSYC 2443 — Clinical Child Psychology

This course offers an overview of major childhood psychological disorders, including prevalence, symptomatology, diagnosis, classification, etiology, and research. Emphasis is on developmental psychopathology and understanding disorder complexities from infancy to early adulthood, with special focus on trauma. Given the intended emphasis on disorder and its development during childhood, there will be only cursory consideration of treatment approaches for these conditions.
