READ 274 - The Management and Process of Reading READ 274 - The Management and Process of Reading 4 Credit Hours Attention will be given to reading skills and concepts in addition to providing practical instruction on classroom management of reading instruction in a classroom setting. Current and research-based best practices will be introduced for instruction of emerging readers in the early-middle grades. This course is required as the first course in the reading sequence. Students must complete 10 hours of clinical experience in a public-school setting. A minimum grade of” C” is required for successful completion of this course.
