BIO - 196 Introduction to Bio-Technology BIO - 196 Introduction to Bio-Technology (4 s.h.) The purpose of this course is to students understand the importance and impact of bio-technology on our lives. Students will be introduced to bio-science’s impact on society and made to realize that technologies, like the tools they are manifested in, can be used “for better or for worse.” The benefits of bio-science will be discussed in six major categories: agriculture, industry, medicine, environmental, forensic, and advancement of knowledge.
