This Mastery ESL course is designed for English Language Learners (ELL) with conversational proficiency to further prepare for college-level coursework in English. Emphasis is on in-context vocabulary acquisition and the improvement of grammatical English skills. New vocabulary and grammar are then applied to spoken and written assignments. Emphasis is on writing as a process; students will learn strategies for compensating for individuals writing and language problems. The primary language skills addressed are writing and reading, but students will also practice speaking and listening with classmates and the instructor.
