JOU - 115 Introduction to Journalism JOU - 115 Introduction to Journalism (3 s.h.) Introduction to Journalism is designed to the student understand the role of the media in a democracy and how that role is accomplished. The students will also improve communication skills because the course stresses the fundamentals of news gathering, news writing, editing, and publication design. Students will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in news writing and interviewing. The course will stress print media.
